Dear Anonymous,

I thouroughly enjoyed reading your comments and feel the manner in which we teach golf must be altered.

I state in the introduction to my website...

"As anyone who has taken golf lessons can attest, most golf instruction programs emphasize a routine of body mechanics, where teaching professionals lecture and manipulate hand placement and body posture as they see fit."

The first half of your letter covers this and your wish is that, like Count Yogi, an 'inner peace' approach to teaching/learning this game encouraging a 'rapport of partnership' between student/teacher.

There are many pages on this site that deal with this topic and I am more than happy to answer any questions related to this.

I hope you enjoy reading through the material on the Private Member Page and welcome any relevant comments you may have.

Finally, children do have a slight advantage over adults because they have time on their sides but, in my opinion, they are not better learners. They just have less baggage. Read this page.

I work with the LEP Triangle which functions for everything in life. School, work, play, relationships etc.

For example, my favourite subject in school was also my best grade. My favourite game also turned out to be my profession and my best friend turned out to be my life long partner/wife.

Leela was motivated by her desire to learn and thouroughly enjoyed the process which lead to her inevitable success/performance.

Thanks again for your coments.

All the best,

Patrick McHugh
