And My Favourite Drill

I just know I won't be popular with my private students for giving this free golf lesson. They have paid so much to get me to explain and demonstrate this drill to them.

They will not believe that it is now available for free. Well it is and it isn't. For those of you who have read the page beginner golf lesson , you will already have the basics for this drill.

You will also be well aware that this drill does have a certain magic. However, for some reason you are still not getting the fantastic results, which are guaranteed from the drill.

Well that's not entirely true, some of you are and the best of luck to you. That's what I wanted you to achieve. For those who are not, I have devised my 'private member page' to give a little extra private assistance in achieving the same results.

To give you a taste of this drill take a look at the following warm-up video and take note, I really am holding this nine-iron with only the index finger and thumb in both hands.

As you can see this swing is only a warm-up or practice swing but I do use the same four finger grip to hit a ball. And I hit a nine-iron 130yds, high and straight, with this grip. After a little practice you will also be able to do the same.

I do find that this warm-up gives me the confidence to let the club head reach high speeds and still maintain control of the club. I only have to bring the same qualities to the ball and achieve marvellous results. Of course I don't use this grip on the course but I do use the swing that I have learned from using it.
