A Better Golf Performance.
How do we go about that then?
Our golf performance levels are currently bottoming out. With all the modern technology and a 'better' understanding of the swing biomechanics, using computer enhanced frame by frame slow motion, we should all be able to perform better.
But alas, this is not the case. We may be hitting the ball a little longer, higher and have it land softer but the average scores have not improved.
This is happening because we are spending far too much time on performance criteria and almost no time on enjoyment and learning.
Performance criterea are the processes that happen within your golf game. These include physical, conscious or subconscious objectives. Some of the more obvious include:
- Swing biomechanics.
- Faults and fixes.
- Swing thoughts, and the longevity of these.
- The decision-making process.
- Performance management.
All of these - and likely more - make up the performance criteria. In fact the truth is:
"By working only on learning and enjoyment criteria, 'performance' will improve with little conscious effort."
If you click on the enjoyment or learning links on the previous page, you will be able to heighten your participation in these more important objectives.
