This is probably the first time you have heard the history of golf being explained in this way...

Until now, many people believe that the Scots invented golf and there are a few other countries also laying claim to that honour.

I would like to clear up any dillusions about these claims here and now.

Our distant ancesters invented all sports many many years ago and we have further developed most of these to suit modern times.

All sports originate from hunting and nowadays they are a replacement for otherwise unrequired hereditory skills.

So who are these mysterious ancestors?

Do they belong to Medievel times?

Ice age?

Stone age?

Neandrethal man?

Or even further back in time?

Now we are getting nearer to the truth.
