(Missoula, MT USA)
I played golf since 1948.
I worked for tour pro in St.Louis until I finished dental school.
I played with such people as Dutch Harrison, Ed Furgol, Jackie Pung, and my boss Gene Webb.
After leaving US Navy in 1961 came home to Montana. Joined local country club, worked my way down to 1 handicap.
Had a good run over the years..now am 78 and game has slipped badly. I still enjoy it when I don't ache. (Sore back) Eagled all 18 holes Missoula C.C. Have had 12 aces. (TO MUCH GOLF!)
Served on Montana State Golf Asc. BOD 28 years. USGA Mid Amateur Committee for 10 years. USGA Senior Amateur Committee for 5 years. Did rules and course rating as an aside to the rest.
Took lessons from Gardner Dickinson (the best!!) Dave Marr, and Ross Henry.
Hope this suffices.
