I am reading "The Inner Game of Golf"

by Graham Smale
(Johannesburg, South Africa)

I am 51 years old and I am taking golf up again after 20 years.

Last time round, the little white ball won the game of psychological warfare.

I understood that I was not very good, but I found it hard that I was not getting any better.

I am now older, and hopefully wiser, albeit my body is not in as good shape, and I am looking forward to taking up the game again.

The "Inner Game" or natural learning approach makes a lot of sense.

I am a highly rational person that wants to understand the technical details, i.e. I am Self 1 dominant.

It got in the way last time and the natural learning techniques are ideal for getting it out of the way and letting Self 2 get on with the learning process.

I am having fun browsing your site and have been looking for a local Inner Game coach in Johannesburg.

No luck yet so I am exploring web and video resources. I recently bought a set of Adams Golf A7OS hybrid irons and a Taylor Made Burner 3-wood. I will build up to the 1-wood.

I look forward to using your site to help me develop my golf.
