Hello Alex,

I am delighted to hear that you have found enlightenment from the mental side of the game.

You didn't mention which books you have read and I would personally advocate anything by Timothy Gallwey or Fred Shoemaker.

These two authors have heavily influenced my thoughts on how the game should be played and taught.

I am glad to hear that you have benefited from some of the advice on my website and would like to leave you with this thought.

In my opinion, there are two essentials to playing better and more enjoyable golf. Balance is essential number one and, once it is in place, achieving a state of sensory awareness becomes essential number two.

These essentials create fantastic results and are only advantageous when used simultaneously. In most sports these two imperatives are recognised by both the coach and the student but golfers fail to realise their importance.

Forget all of the usual swing tips or rituals and put these two essentials in place and you'll be well on the way to a solid golf game.
