I am of the opinion that the ordinary golfer doesn't have the opportunity to experience proper sport psychology.
How many people are willing to pay $200 per hour to improve their mental game?
Even the ones who can afford it would probably decide against it, feeling that the money would be better invested in ordinary lessons.
And the damn books are so boring. I have never really grasped what they are trying to tell me.
Should I wait until I feel that the shot has already been carried out successfully in my mind's eye. The books tell me the more I practice this the better I get at it.
I feel as if I am getting great pre shot visuals but unfortunately my results don't match them.
I am about as good at practising psychology as I am at self hypnotism. Is there anyone out there who could point me in the direction of a good psychology book that doesn't bore me and perhaps works.
I know therein lies some magic but it all sems a little hit and miss to me.
