Talking about new or used golf clubs or the Rules of Golf or even new or used golf balls are not my favourite subjects. These are however the main golf questions I hear every day. Some day I hope to be invited to appear on the Golf Channel and with Leela we will be discussing our favourite topics, "The LPGA Tour and non-directional Golf learning and the LEP triangle."
My name is Patrick McHugh and I am delighted to welcome you to my website.I am a golf teaching professional and have been teaching this game for many years. I have given many lessons to a huge variety of people and have always regarded myself to be proficient at what I do.
Many people have enlightened me over the years and I must thank, among others, Timothy Gallwey, Michael Murphy, Greg McHatton and Fred Shoemaker. They have helped me to realise that the way we are taught this game ignores the natural learning system that is already in place through millions of years of evolution. (This learning system has developed into one of the strongest of human resources. This resource is as old as intellegence itself and through evolution continues to develop and improve. We are only beginning to realise just how powerful this resource is and how this near perfect process should not be altered)
I have written most of the pages on this site addressing this and invite you to use this more natural system to excel at golf and perhaps in life itself. You will be able to read about how I developed this method with the help of my daughter Juliana. She is only fifteen years old and started to play the game just 6 years ago. She is already the ladies 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 club champion at our course, has qualified for the under 15's national finals and boasts a single figure handicap of 4.
If she can accomplish so much in such a short time and at such a young age using this method, imagine what you could achieve. I have adopted the same system for my game and, although I had reservations about dropping the old instructional method, I herald the day I changed over. Using this system, my students play better golf in a peaceful state, with more enjoyment, and achieve a higher level of learning.
